Pakistan Must Prioritize Unity and National Interest Over Political Discord.

A Message for

Governments Establishment and Imran.

1. Political Tensions Are Testing the Nation

Pakistan is currently experiencing heightened political turbulence, challenging both the maturity of democratic institutions and the responsibility of political leaders. While disagreements are natural in a democracy, how these disputes are managed reflects the nation’s commitment to law, order, and stability. Impulsive actions and childish confrontations weaken the country and erode public trust in institutions.

2. Responsibility of the Government and State Establishment

The government and the state establishment must act with wisdom and foresight. Political decisions must be guided by long-term national interests rather than short-term gains. Any action that appears arbitrary or vindictive undermines the credibility of the state and fosters unnecessary division among the people.

3. Accountability of Political Parties

Political parties, particularly Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its leadership, have a crucial responsibility to control their activists, social media teams, and influencers. Public platforms should not be used to attack state institutions or spread narratives that weaken national unity. Political dissent is legitimate, but it must never translate into actions that threaten the nation itself.

4. Upholding Human Rights

Even amidst political restrictions, fundamental human rights must be respected. Every citizen, regardless of political affiliation, has the right to family contact, legal counsel, and medical care. Protecting these rights ensures that the moral and legal framework of the state remains intact, reinforcing public confidence in governance.

5. National Security Requires Unity

Pakistan faces real threats from terrorism and external adversaries. Internal discord at such times amplifies these risks. National security and the survival of the state demand unity above all else. Political disagreements should be resolved through dialogue and compromise, not confrontation or destabilizing rhetoric.

6. Dialogue and Compromise as the Path Forward

The solution lies in mutual respect and constructive engagement. Political parties and state institutions must work together to address the country’s challenges while prioritizing the collective good over individual or partisan interests. Compromise is not weakness—it is the hallmark of a mature, responsible democracy.

7. The Imperative of National Cohesion

Disagreement is part of democracy, but attacking the state, spreading hatred, or undermining institutions endangers the nation. For Pakistan’s integrity, stability, and future, all citizens, political actors, and institutions must unite. Today, more than ever, Pakistan’s survival depends on a collective commitment to national unity.
