Yesterday It Was the Holocaust, Today It Is Gaza — Oppression Remains Oppression.

Yesterday It Was the Holocaust, Today It Is Gaza — Oppression Remains Oppression

A Mirror of Humanity

History is not just a record of the past—it is a mirror. It reflects what humanity is capable of, both in its darkest and its most courageous moments.

In one era, the world witnessed the horrors of The Holocaust—a systematic destruction of innocent lives based on identity. Millions were killed, not because of what they did, but because of who they were.

The world later said: “Never Again.”

The Promise That Must Not Break

“Never Again” was not meant for one people alone.

It was meant for all humanity.

It was a promise that:

- No innocent life would be treated as expendable

- No child would become a casualty of power

- No population would be collectively punished

Gaza — A Test of That Promise

Today, in Gaza Strip, the world faces another moral test.

We see:

- Civilians trapped in conflict

- Homes reduced to rubble

- Children buried under debris

- Families struggling for basic survival

Regardless of politics, one truth stands above all:

👉 When civilians suffer, humanity is failing again

Not a Comparison — A Principle

This is not about equating events in numbers or historical structure.

It is about recognizing a universal principle:

> Innocent blood has the same value everywhere.

Whether in Europe decades ago or in Gaza today,

the loss of innocent life carries the same moral weight.

The Danger of Selective Morality

Humanity loses its moral ground when it:

- Condemns past ظلم

- But hesitates to condemn present suffering

Justice must not depend on:

- Geography

- Religion

- Political alliances

👉 Otherwise, “Never Again” becomes an empty slogan

A Call to Conscience

We are not required to take sides in politics.

But we are required to stand for:

- Truth

- Justice

- Human dignity

To say clearly:

- What happened in the Holocaust was ظلم

- What harms innocent civilians anywhere today is also ظلم

 Conclusion

The lesson of history is simple, yet powerful:

👉 Oppression does not change its nature with time or place

👉 The victim’s identity does not reduce their suffering

👉 And silence in the face of injustice is complicity

If “Never Again” is to mean anything,

it must mean:

Never against anyone.
