Golden Fountains, Open Dances & Lost Identity: A Shameful Spectacle in the Heart of Islam.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — In what was termed a “historic” visit, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia rolled out a golden carpet for former U.S. President Donald Trump. From a state-of-the-art private jet as a gift to a 24-carat gold fountain and even a symbolic “rain of currency,” the event stunned the global Muslim audience—not for its grandeur, but for its blatant contradiction to the very essence of Islam.

Perhaps the most disturbing scene was the open dance of unveiled women—celebrated not behind closed doors, but under the lights of global media in a land that claims to guard the sanctity of Islam. For a nation that strictly enforces hijab and bans public performances for its own people, this double standard was not just ironic—it was humiliating.

Behind the facade of diplomatic success lay an embarrassing truth: the soul of the Islamic world is being sold at the altar of Western approval. Alcohol, music, and unchecked luxury—everything Islam disapproves of—was displayed as a “gift” to a foreign leader whose policies and statements have often shown little respect for Muslim nations.

President Trump, upon returning, spoke not of brotherhood or shared values, but of lucrative deals and America’s renewed dominance in the region. For him, it was a business trip—profitable and powerful. For Saudi Arabia, it became a chapter of submission, wrapped in gold.

Statements by Arab leaders focused solely on “economic cooperation,” carefully avoiding any reference to Islamic unity, moral responsibility, or global Muslim dignity. It was as if the identity of Islam had been conveniently erased in favor of spectacle and ceremony.

But at what cost?

This event sent a dangerous message to the 1.8 billion Muslims worldwide: Islamic values are not for the powerful. They are for the ordinary. A disturbing precedent has been set where Islamic teachings are bent for politics, and sacred traditions are suspended for foreign applause.

Muslim youth watching from around the world are now questioning: Is this the leadership we look up to? Is this the land where the Prophet (PBUH) preached humility and justice? Is gold and glamour the new Qibla?

The Muslim Ummah deserves better. The world is watching. And history will remember—not the gold, not the jets, but the betrayal of values in the house of Islam.

It is time for reflection, correction, and a return to dignity.

No empire built on hypocrisy has ever stood the test of time.
