The Time Has Come for People to Rise Above Politics of Greed and Injustice.
The Time Has Come for People to Rise Above Politics of Greed and Injustice.
Across the world today, politics is too often driven by self-interest, greed, and oppression. Governments act in ways that harm innocent people, while citizens feel powerless to stop them. Yet history teaches us that real change comes not from elites but from ordinary people who decide to stand up for justice. The time has come for the people of every nation to reclaim their moral authority and demand a better future.
Citizens Must Hold Their Governments Accountable
In the United States, citizens must speak up and use every democratic tool — including public opinion, protest, and their vote — to prevent their government from taking actions that fuel conflict and injustice abroad. In Israel, citizens have a moral responsibility to oppose policies that inflict suffering on others, just as people in every country must hold their leaders accountable when they act unjustly.
Silence is complicity. Whether in a democracy or under another form of government, people have the power to say “no” to policies that violate human rights and “yes” to policies that promote peace.
Moving Beyond Hostility in National Politics
Domestic politics should never be a battlefield of endless enmities. When political parties or leaders treat opponents as enemies instead of rivals, societies fracture and progress stalls. Citizens must demand a higher standard from their leaders: cooperation where possible, and respectful disagreement where necessary. True patriotism is not blind loyalty to a party or a leader, but loyalty to justice, fairness, and the welfare of all citizens.
Building a Peaceful Global Village
The vision of a peaceful “global village” does not erase national borders or religious identities. Borders will still exist, and religions will still maintain their principles and rules. But humanity itself recognizes no walls. Compassion and dignity are not confined to any one country or faith.
This means we must build systems of international cooperation where people of different nations and faiths see one another first as human beings. Such cooperation can include fair trade, shared environmental stewardship, and conflict resolution that prioritizes dialogue over violence.
Humanity Is the Common Foundation of All Faiths
Every major religion teaches the value of compassion, justice, and the sanctity of human life. These shared values are stronger than the divisions of geography, culture, or sect. To honor our faiths, we must embody their core teaching: the dignity of every human being.
A Call to Action
The world does not need more walls, weapons, or wars. It needs awakened citizens who refuse to accept the politics of greed and oppression. By standing together across borders, religions, and cultures, we can shape a future where governments serve humanity rather than harm it.
This is not an abstract dream. It is a moral duty. And it begins with each of us.
